The women empowerment cell was inaugurated on 17-12-2007 at 2pm in the seminar hall by Dr.K.Prasanna Lakshmi, Medical Officer, Undrajavaram.

The Women have been facing many problems with regarding to Education, Health and their role in the society. In order to bring the awareness in the women keeping

In view the contemporary problems they are facing in their real lives and the awareness of their problems and the salvation to those problems is the very concept of launching this “Women Development Cell”. In addition to this it would be a great help to take into consideration the problems of the women students of the college and extend a helping hand for the eradication of various problems they are facing in the society.

Various cultural activities conducted by our WEC for Ensuing college day the following activities are taken up.

Functions of Women Development Cell

1. To provide needed facilities to girl students of the college.
2. To bring out the creative qualities of the girl students
3. To be helpful in the development of social awareness and wisdom and knowledge for their day to day lives in the society.
4. To develop their individuality by providing different magazines and books regarding women welfare.
5. To suggested proper suggestions when the girl students face any kind of problems that they cannot face themselves To conduct Guest Lectures by eminent people in different fields keeping in view the needs of the present women
